FinnCham, the Finnish-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, celebrated its 10th anniversary. The date was remembered in a radiant meeting on June 9, 2022 at the Finnish Consulate Auditorium in São Paulo. The event brought together Finnish personalities, paid tribute to the culture of the Nordic country and, to celebrate, typical foods consecrated the success of the relationship between these countries. On the occasion, the book “FINNCHAM 10 years” was launched as a tribute to the journey that strengthened the connection between Brazil and Finland. The publication presents the chronology of this history.

Finland is a reference in management and prosperity, and was elected for the fifth consecutive edition of the UN World Happiness Report, the happiest country. This index annually analyzes: the GDP, education, quality of life, corruption, among other factors related to well-being and the development of human capital. Undoubtedly, an example to be pursued, an inspiration for the maintenance and strengthening of trade relations between Brazil and Finland. FinnCham is mainly responsible for structuring this network of connections.

The then ambassador Joukko Leinonen congratulated FinnCham and highlighted the work together with the embassy: “We have always worked closely with our business community, but FinnCham has created a more organized and easier way to bring companies together for common actions, share information about opportunities in the Brazilian market as well as to plan and calibrate our efforts in support of the companies.”

The president of FinnCham Brazil, Sérgio Chamone, pointed out that Finland is already reaping the fruits of these ten years of the chamber: “Finland is increasingly known by Brazilians and its image is becoming even clearer in the minds of decision-makers, as a leading country in innovation, sustainability, education, quality, seriousness, honesty and high-tech products.
