Defense Committee aims to map state-of-the-art Defense technologies and best practices in Finland that could be implemented in Brazil. Establish high level contact with Brazilian Armed Forces. Promote match making between Brazilian and Finnish Companies and also company consortiums to exploit most promising business opportunities. Technology Committee:

The Technology Committee aims to analyze technical/technological topics that cover different technologies in the areas of activity of the associated companies, aiming to support synergies and distribution in the respective markets of each industry segment.

At the same time, FinnCham Brazil intends to increasingly support initiatives related to technology topics in the various segments in which its member companies operate, such as energy, mining, forestry, paper and cellulose, telecommunications/communications, application software, military maritime fleet, ports/airports. , transport/logistics, etc.

Fernando Hussni

Committee’s President

Fernando Hussni is the Head of Sales for Enterprise business in Nokia Brazil. He has over 40 years of experience, working on telecommunication Projects implementation/operations, turnkey project management, business development, and sales. From the last 20 years is being dedicated to sales management in different domains. Fernando is Electronic Engineer with an MBA in Business Administration and is based in São Paulo. From the current role, he has been closely working with Finnish companies in order to fit composed solutions demanded from different Brazilian market segments.

Renato Onofre

Committee’s Vice President

Renato Onofre, a seasoned professional with over three decades of experience in the telecommunications industry, is a distinguished Electrical Engineer from UNIFEI (1992). His expertise spans across radio systems, digital communication networks, and telecommunications infrastructure. In the past 17 years, he has honed his skills in operational support systems, specifically for telecommunications companies.

Legal Committee:

Legal and Business Committee aims to discuss important matters for Finnish companies based in Brazil such as intellectual property, labor, environmental and competition legislations. Thus contributing to establish valuable legal support for market entrance. Building and keeping a reliable network for legal specialists to boost commercial businesses and investments between Brazil and Finland.

Patrick Rajala

Committee’s President

Patrick Rajala is a Brazilian-Finnish associate lawyer at Pinheiro Neto Advogados, based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He joined the firm in 2017 and assists local and international clients from various industries and sectors on tax consulting and litigation issues. His practice focuses on tax and social security law matters in administrative and court disputes. He has experience in taxation in the following areas: industry, retail, energy, technology, telecommunications, oil and gas, healthcare, insurance, and infrastructure.

Patrick holds an LL.M in Tax Law from the Getulio Vargas Foundation in Rio de Janeiro (FGV-Rio), a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Catholic University School of Law, also in Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), and is a Member of the Brazilian Bar Association – Rio de Janeiro.

Innovation and Learning Committee:

Finland has been in the top 10 global innovation index for many years. This committee aims to bridge the top edge innovation created in Finland in different economic sectors to Brazilian companies, governments and educational institutions. Every implementation of innovation demands learning new processes and that is what this committee also supports. We promote events, we help Finnish companies operating in Brazil and we create business environment to stimulate partnerships.

Maxwill Braga

Committee’s President

Max holds a master’s degree in Finland, he studied Education and Globalization at the University of Oulu in 2010-12. He graduated in International Relations from the University of Brasilia. He has experience with facilitation; implementation, monitoring and evaluation of educational programs; management of projects; and team leadership. From 2014-2016 he coordinated the Finnish program muuvit.com in Brazil that reached 20.000 students and 600 teachers.   

Also in 2014, he became part of the Lemann Foundation Talents of Education network in Brazil. He is a member of the international community of Art of Hosting Meaningful Conversations. In 2018, he carried out a traineeship as an associated facilitator in the Organizational Performance Group in Connecticut USA.
