LAAD<\/a>, the largest and most important defence and security trade fair and exhibition in Latin America is held on 11\u201314 April, 2023 in Rio de Janeiro. The event is held every two years and it brings together key stakeholders from the defence industry.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

According <\/span>to<\/span> Ambassador<\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span>Johanna Karanko<\/span><\/span><\/a>, <\/span><\/span>Brazil<\/span> and<\/span> Finland<\/span> have<\/span> been<\/span> increasingly<\/span> collaborating<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> aerospace<\/span>, <\/span>defense<\/span>, <\/span>security<\/span> and<\/span> space<\/span> industry<\/span>, <\/span>and<\/span> new <\/span>synergies<\/span> <\/span>and<\/span> avenues<\/span> for bilateral <\/span>cooperation<\/span> have<\/span> been<\/span> identified<\/span> over <\/span>the<\/span> last<\/span> days<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Finland is keen to collaborate with both the Brazilian Armed Forces and Defense Industrial Base (BID)”, says Honorary Consul General\u00a0Sergio Chamone<\/a>. “We have a world-class defense cluster in Finland\u00a0whose members are looking for international partners”.<\/p>\n

Our<\/span> business <\/span>delegation<\/span>, led <\/span>by<\/span> Permanent<\/span> Secretary<\/span> Esa <\/span>Pulkkinen<\/span> <\/span>(<\/span>Ministry<\/span> of<\/span> Defense)<\/span>, <\/span><\/span>has<\/span> had<\/span> busy<\/span> days<\/span> at<\/span> LAAD Defense <\/span>and<\/span> Security, a major trade fair in <\/span>Brazil<\/span>. Meetings <\/span>included<\/span>, <\/span>among<\/span> others<\/span>, <\/span>the<\/span> three<\/span> branches<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> Brazilian<\/span> Armed<\/span> Forces (Army, Navy, <\/span>and<\/span> Air Force).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
