FinnCham and AHK organized a Business Mediation Seminar

The seminar brought together over 80 people to discuss the new regulations on mediation

On December 10, CAE - Arbitration Chamber of Eurochambers, together with FinnCham Brazil and AHK - Brazil-Germany Chamber of Commerce organized together a Business Mediation Seminar, aiming to clarify and disseminate the practice of mediation in the business context, especially in view of the recent legislation.

The seminar was hosted by AHK and welcomed over 80 people, interested in knowing more about the new government regulation that will have a direct impact in the business scenario. The speakers brought their own experiences as mediators and/or lawyers, being able to answer questions of those present in the seminar. FinnCham's Legal Director, Mr. Renato Pacheco Neto, did the welcome greeting, talking about the importance of the event to both Finnish and German companies.

He was followed by Mr. Alexandre Palermo Simões, founding partner and responsible for the areas of Arbitration, ADR, Mediation, Negotiation, Corporate Law, Business Contracts and Sports Law of Ragazzo, Simões, Spinelli, and Lazzareschi Montoro Lawyers. Later, Ms. Claudia Frankel Grosman, civil and commercial mediator certified by ADR Group (London) and IMI (International Mediation Institute) discussed about in-company mediation, giving the word to Ms. Beatriz Vidigal Xavier da Silveira Rosa, Mechanical Production Engineer with an MBA in Technology Management and Distributed Generation and Cogeneration and expertise in IME-RJ Defense Engineering. The seminar mediator was Mrs. Patricia Freitas Fuoco, founding partner of Pacheco Neto office, Sanden, Teisseire Lawyers, based in São Paulo, Brazil, and specialist in Negotiation and Mediation from the Harvard Negotiation Institute - Harvard Law School, USA and Governance and Legal Planning for the Family Business Law School of São Paulo's Getulio Vargas Foundation (GVlaw).

During the coffee break, there was also an opportunity for companies to do networking, in order to strengthen relations between European Union countries.

The closure was presented by Ms. Claudia Bärmann Bernardo, Vice President of CAE-Eurochambres and Legal Director of the Brazil-Germany Chamber of Commerce.
