The Brazilian government has launched a public tender – estimated at USD 68 million – for the purchase of public cloud services for over 50 federal agencies and entities.

The initiative is part of the government’s efforts to boost efficiency in the public administration. The Brazilian Ministry of Economy estimates that the purchase will generate USD 10 million in savings.

The goal of the bidding process is to select a company with the following world-class cloud-computing services:

  • IaaS (infrastructure-as-a-service)
  • PaaS (platform-as-a-service)
  • SaaS (software-as-a-service)

The tender also requires the following services:

  1. Computer resources migration
  2. Database migration
  3. Management and operation
  4. Training

The contract is valid for 24 months and may be extended to 60 months.

Applications must be made exclusively via the government’s official website for public procurement (‘Portal de Compras’, in Portuguese), where further information is available.

Business Finland Brazil can help Finnish companies obtain all the documents needed.
